I've been so bogged down with work and illness and other unpleasant things, that livejournal has really slipped away from me. I miss it, and I miss you people, so I'm going to take the thirty seconds I seem to have available for my lunch break today and take some advice from Jaci.

It has come to my attention that most of you think that I'm a Hufflepuff. And truth be told, I have a feeling that a lot of you Ravenclaw voters were just trying to be nice.

Clearly I should not have asked.

This would be less upsetting if I weren't fairly certain that it's true. I've tried to not be a Hufflepuff, I really have. I have some qualities to work with, but none of them are exactly right. I'm intelligent, but not brilliant. I'm brave, but rarely reckless. I'm ambitious (er. sometimes.), but not especially resourceful. So. Dudes. Hufflepuff.

Even my OTP sorted me as Hufflepuff. My OTP, friends, MY OTP. This turncoat (marginalia, like hi) tried to convince me that my reaction to the news is influenced by authorial bias. She claims that Hufflepuff is not so bad. I think she's making excuses, but she has accidentally offered to write me a fic where Hufflepuffs save the world "because no one was paying attention to them anyway". Please go here immediately and tell her she must write it as penance. Please? Also, iolanthe_rosa is a great big meany. Um.

"Hufflepuff took all the rest and treated them just the same." All the rest. ALL THE REST. *cries*

ETA: I have, by the way, discovered that I have this wrong. She said "I'll teach the lot and treat them just the same." Which is, admittedly, much better don't you think?
